Under 13 Girls Win Lisburn Ladies Tournament

In artic conditions the Under 13 squad of Emily Adams, Sarah Crompton, Emma McMaster, Abigail Reid, Aine Smyth, Ciara Irvine, Cara Murray and captain Stacey Bryce made it a double for the Club when they won the Lisburn Ladies Tournament played at the Omniplex tonight. In the Group stage victories against Armagh (2-0) , Lisburn Ladies B (4-0) and Celtic Girls (3-0) set up a semi-final game against Donegal Celtic. Ballynahinch went ahead but Donegal Celtic quickly equalised. Ballynahinch then settled and went on to win the game 5-1. In the final they met Armagh who had beaten Ballymena in their semi-final. A super performance by the whole squad capped by goals from Abigail Reid (2) and Emma McMaster and some excellent saves by Stacey Bryce saw the trophy come to Ballynahinch. To put the icing on the cake Abigail Reid won Player of the Final. This was a great effort by all the players who had to dig deep to ensure victory. Ballynahinch’s player of the tournament was Emily Adams.
